Sapori is my dad’s Italian restaurant in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

When Al told us that he was opening up this restaurant after over a decade of being out of the industry, it quickly became a family affair. I assisted my father with testing menu items, my mother plotted the interior and marketing strategy, my brother was the family therapist. 

In addition to some of the menu items: I designed the logo, the branding kit, the paper menu, some of the artwork for the interior space, and the mascot (which was inspired by a mural that was up at the previous tenants spot, Tucci’s).

Now, Sapori is a wonderful success right on Cherry Street. If you live in Tulsa, or find yourself there to check out the Gathering Place or Greenwood Rising, go enjoy some saffron arancini and the warmth my dad brings to the space.
